The Lenovo Z5 Smartphone Review

If we look at the news revealed by Lenovo itself, we were in front of a phone that could be placed around a 95% frontal / screen ratio , a wonderful metal body without frames , up to 4 exclusive technological patents and a storage of 4 Terabytes They are not rumors, they were announcements of the company.

The bar was set so high that today what could be a beautiful medium range of very good price and balanced features has become a cluster of broken promises that leave us a bittersweet taste.

Lenovo is known primarily for its laptops and for being the brand behind Motorola’s latest phones, but it’s easy to forget that Lenovo has its own line of phones. However, once you’ve set your eyes on the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, this new phone could remain in your memory. Lenovo has just announced an Android phone with 12GB of RAM, which also features a sliding design and Snapdragon 855 from Qualcomm. This is all we know about this device.

The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Z5 Pro GT is the almost complete absence of bezels. That’s because, like the previous Oppo Find X and the Vivo Nex S, the Z5 Pro GT is a slider phone , or a sliding design phone.

The front cameras and the audio area are hidden inside the body, and will be activated mechanically when necessary. Apart from the red details around the frame, and the carbon fiber pattern under the glass, the GT is similar in design to the Lenovo Z5 Pro.

In the technical section we have a medium range that we could place in line with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The Lenovo Z5 mounts a Snapdragon 636 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB memories.

A balanced performance that will surely give good results in the daily use of the device. During the presentation we asked ourselves where were the 4 storage teras that were announced, and shortly after we discovered that far from the phone. It was an external hard drive that has been presented jointly to the device.

The Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, presented under the hood of the device, will support up to 12 GB of RAM. The highest version of the phone will have 512 GB of internal memory. Recently, Lenovo shared the test results of the AnTuTu smartphone. Most flagship phones based on SD855 scored less than 1,400. However, Z6 reached an average of 403 077 points.

The Android OS 9 Pie based on ZUI11 will be pre-loaded on the device. The 4000 mAh battery capacity will be compatible with fast charging technology. To control Lenovo’s internal temperature, the Z6 Pro will be equipped with PC liquid cooling technology….

To close the technical section, the terminal arrives with dual 16 + 8 megapixel camera with AI, 3,300 mAh battery and Android 8.1 under ZUI 4.0 layer.

THE ONLY JOY THAT GIVES US THE LENOVO Z5 IS ITS ADJUSTED PRICE

After this cataract of mixed feelings, Lenovo has surprised us by putting a positive icing on this technological cake. The Lenovo Z5 will be launched with a price of € 182 to change, which places it in a direct struggle with the sector that is becoming increasingly competitive and interesting.

 We are sure that in spite of what happened, the new terminal, due to its particularly beautiful design and balanced components, will become a great option for many users who want an economical mid-range. In this same section we find rival models such as the Nokia X6 which has already announced its international sale  and which also have a lot to say.

It has a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD resolution of 2,340 x 1,080, and a 3,350 mAh battery. You will find two camera lenses on the back of the device: a 16 megapixel primary lens and a 24 megapixel secondary lens.

There are two front camera lenses, a 16-megapixel main lens, attached to an 8-megapixel infrared lens for facial recognition, although there is also a fingerprint scanner on the screen. NFC technology is included and comes with two nano SIM slots. USB-C is included, but there is no headphone jack, but it comes with a USB-C dongle for your headphones.

The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT will be available for pre-orders starting January 15, before its official launch on January 24. There is a lower power version of the phone equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and that will cost 2,698 yuan (about $ 390 dollars). However, the larger model, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, sees a significant increase in price, costing 4,398 yuan (about $ 640 dollars). Unfortunately, it is not forgiven to know plans for a launch in the United States, but we will keep you informed.
